Underwater Noise Environmental Assessment

It corresponds to a study that seeks the hydroacoustic characterization of the ecosystem under analysis, through the use of end-to-end calibrated hydrophones with records at different time and geographical points. This study includes: Spectral Density, Third Octave Band Analysis (RMS, L5, L10, L50, L90 and L95), Global Sound Pressure Levels.

  • Applications: Environmental impact studies for ports, salmon industry, aquaculture industry, underwater mining.

Detection and monitoring of marine fauna

Underwater monitoring, control, surveillance and alert system (MCVA), focused on the study and preservation of marine life. This includes an oceanographic, hydroacoustic and faunal characterization.

  • Applications: Research, detection and monitoring of marine fauna.

Detection of illicit activities

Underwater monitoring, control, surveillance and alert system (MCVA) designed to detect suspicious events attributable to illegal activities in bodies of water.

  • Applications: Detection of illegal fishing, theft and other crimes that affect the salmon and aquaculture industry.
Our system complies with ISO 17208 which was developed to provide a standardized measurement method for the quantification and qualification of underwater (radiated) noise from a vessel. In particular:
SO 17208-1:2019, Underwater acoustics — Quantities and procedures for description and measurement of underwater sound from ships — Part 1: General requirements for measurements in deep water
ISO 17208-2:2019, Underwater acoustics — Quantities and procedures for description and measurement of underwater sound from ships — Part 2: Determination of source levels from deep water measurements.
