Acústica Marina is part of the group of external entities associated with the project “Integrated Environmental Sound Source Analysis System: FuSA System”; of the Institute of Acoustics and the Institute of Informatics of the Faculty of Engineering Science of Austral University of Chile
Recently, researchers from the Institutes of Acoustics and Informatics of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences were awarded the project "Integrated System for the Analysis of Environmental Sound Sources: FuSA System" through the Fondef Idea I+D 2020 Contest.
Initiative that is the result of collaboration with external companies and institutions, with whom there are previous works, agreements and joint projects.
The purpose of the project is to develop a system that integrates acoustic measurements of environmental sound sources, with the detection and classification analysis of such sound sources, by means of deep neural networks.
The external entities associated with this project are the Ministry of the Environment and the companies VitGlobal, Gerard Ingenieria Acústica, CAPTA and Acústica Marina.
«We, as Acústica Marina, will provide information on underwater Sound Pressure Levels (NPS) and audio files recorded in our underwater noise monitoring stations. In this way we will contribute to public-private integration and collaboration for R&D from our territory with the perspective of contributing to technological development for the sustainable development of our ecosystems.”
